ClimateCheck Snapshot for individual properties (API or Bulk)

  • Climate Risk Rating: 0-100 rating where 100 is the highest risk compared to properties in the United States.
    • Flood: comprehensive models include pluvial (surface water), fluvial (river), storm surge (storm winds driving water onshore) & sea level rise.
    • Fire: satellite-enhanced wildfire estimates based on vegetation changes related to climate change.
    • Temperature: over 20 climate models used to estimate rising temperatures.
    • Precipitation: predicted increase of extreme rain/snow/hail events.
    • Drought: changing water supply and demand based on changes to the world’s temperature, precipitation, and population will affect the risk of drought.
  • Climate Risk Descriptions: added detail to further explain the 0-100 rating. For example: flood risk and depth, increased number of extremely hot days, change to predicted wildfires over the next 30 years, etc.
